The Hadron H2 Class Association’s YouTube Channel proved very popular with visitors, with a thousand views of the videos.
Yachting journalist David ‘Dougal’ Henshall gave the last talk of the Show on the main stage on Sunday afternoon. His subject was ‘Seven Dinghies for Seven Decades’. The H2 was shortlisted with two other singlehanders for ‘Dinghy of the 2010s’ but lost out to a very popular product from the world’s largest dinghy manufacturer. However, when asked the question from the (virtual) floor “What is your personal favourite of all the dinghies you have mentioned”, Dougal chose the H2. This reflects his involvement with the early stages of the design development of the H2 and his weeks long trialling of the prototype before writing a Boat Test report for Yachts and Yachting in 2017.
